Have noticed by running top, that after a some extended use, that the memory cache gets larger and larger, like right now mine is using 895 megs according to top, 116 megs buff and a whopping 537 megs in cache.
Any way to clear that out some? When I first fired it up last night it was using a fraction of that. I know it helps things along, just want to be able to zero it out now and then.
Is there a package with a bleachbit type utility by any chance?
Thanks for everything guys, i'm bragging about Puppy big-time, and with good reason, my friend who has a much newer and more expensive gaming rig came over earlier and about crapped himself when he saw how fast my old cobbled together machine is, lol!.
Is there a utility for clearing out the memory cache?
Hi Dragynn
Just seen this - yes there is
Big Bass made it - I'll find it and post it.
Works well BTW.
