JWM - What does Snapmode mean?

#1 Post by lapis »

Code: Select all

SnapMode The snap mode. An optional attribute distance specifies the distance for snapping (default is 5, range 1 - 32). none, screen, border
Nice words but I am afraid I am none the wiser after reading them.

Here is a demo video I made: WindowSnapingDemo005.ogv
User-name=puppy
Password=linux

It's a bit lagy but hopefully you will get the point. when you watch it think about what it is like with Window Snapping disabled. Which is the default in current main puppys (.E.G. Lupu 5.1.1).

This is how I have it configured:

Code: Select all

	<!-- The snap mode (none, screen, or border) -->
	<SnapMode distance="15">border</SnapMode>
In "~/.jwm/jwmrc-personal"

That is ridiculous. The number of people that prefer no snapping would be miniscule.
Do you know a good gtkdialog program? Please post a link here

I know that's why it's on my todo list to get it enabled in the default builds of Woof.

Thanks for explaining that. I have to apologise for this, after seeing the video I think I must have asked the dumbest question ever on this forum. :oops: Homer would be proud.

There's no reason for you to apologise because it's not a dump question.
