Are there cleaning utilities for Puppy?[Solved]
Are there any clean up tools/ programs needed for Puppy,or is it a non requirement?
Something similar to Bleachbit maybe?

AFAIK no clean up tools available. Not sure if this is relevant to your query, but if you're running puppy frugally, from a pup_save file, you might notice the available space in the pup_save file diminishing over time. Simple solution, just create a backup copy of a good pup_save, then, if you notice any reduction in available space, just copy the backup back over the original, reboot, and you'll regain your original size.
There are other ways to minimise this gradual reduction, like reducing the size of your browser's cache, and moving downloads, and a few other files, to /mnt/home so that they aren't being saved within the pup_save file.
If you are running frugallly, this thread may be of interest.

Hi
Here are 2 excellent cleanup tools made by Big Bass for his
SlaxerPup's.
They should be ok to use on all 412 and later puppy's.
Hope that helps.
Best regards - Ray

Hello, people.
Sorry to revive a "solved" thread, but I just came up with an evolution of big_bass's
cleanup_memory script, (at
http://murga-linux.com/puppy/viewtopic. ... ost#824802)
and I'd like to give the reference to the original thread and post it came from. But I can't seem to find it...
Thanks in advance.

Hello.
I believe this one will probably be the final version... You'll find there
version 4b of the "cleanup_memory" script, plus a screen capture.
BFN.

I tried your script - it works great (I just don't understand yet what it does...)
I tried to read the French thread mais trop difficile pour moi!
Is this freeing up my RAM?

Hi, greengeek.
Yep! It frees your RAM! Just like the original by Joe Arose (aka big_bass).
But the layout is prettier (IMO). Also there's a summary of how much RAM it
freed in the title bar, plus an indication of whether the swap file is used or not.
Glad you like it! BFN.

PS. If you have any questions about it, just ask here? Who wants to read
French, eh?

Il vire les sfs entassés en Ram. It gives unused sfs the boot. I like it
