There is a collection of various tips:
http://puppylinux.org/wikka/LanguageSupport
To help with the menu-translator, I need more details.
What have you tried? What happened exactly?
Please post your translated translationfile
/usr/local/Puppymenu-translator/resource/XXX.lng
XXX you must replace with the name of your locale-setting.
You can get it with this command in a consolewindow:
echo $LANG
For example if you get
echo $LANG
vi_VN
then your translationfile must be named
/usr/local/Puppymenu-translator/resource/vi_VN.lng
