Macgic - Transform Puppy Dingo to Macpup Dingo
Macgic will transform your Puppy Dingo into Macpup Dingo. Very helpful for those who just want to try out the Macpup look without downloading the whole ISO file. If you already have Puppy Dingo working, then use this package to make it a Macpup Dingo.
This package is created by CatDude and Prit1.
Here are the two options:
1 - Macgic.I: If you already have Icewm installed on Puppy Dingo, then use this package. This does not include the Icewm files/libraries and hence is smaller.
2 - Macgic.J: If you are running the default window manager (JWM) on Puppy Dingo, use this package.
On installing, there is a menu entry added
MENU > Desktop > Macgic Options
You can use this to:
- Uninstall Macgic completely and be restored back to your earlier desktop
- Clean the desktop (remove all icons) in case your desktop gets cluttered after loading an SFS.
- View a readme about Macgic
MacpupThemes1.0
If you are already on Macgic or Macpup, and want to add extra themes, use this package.
This package is from CatDude.

These packages have been successfully tested only on Puppy Dingo. Please report any feedback/bugs on this thread.

@Lobster:
Thanks Jason.
No default icons are changed at all. When you uninstall, everything should be restored back to how it was before. If you had default icons before, you will have it after uninstall.
But, if you already had wbar before install, you will lose it upon uninstall. We didnt want to take backups of everything. Just important files.
You can install this on a fresh frugal (pfix=ram) and check it out.
Thanks Jason.

nice
Very nice - also the download page. Maybe all Linux downloads should be like that.
Keep up the wonderful work, prit1.

Yes, the project looks great, and the work would have been immense.raffy wrote:Very nice - also the download page. Maybe all Linux downloads should be like that.

But, guys, I am unable to download either Macgic pet, nor the themes one, to try on a regular puppy, to do the comparison.
Any suggestions?
I get a page full of garbage in each case, like this, without the option save
start of page

I feel so stupid over such a simple remedy, I suppose "being tired" isn't a really good excuse is it?
Thanks again guys
