Download a hindi font, try this one http://thatshindi.oneindia.in/common/unicode/Akshar.ttf to /usr/share/fonts/default/TTF/
On the command line run fc-cache
This should install the font on your system. As for browser configuration, you didn't tell anyone what browser. Your question has been answered as well as it reasonably can be, without you putting others in a position of having to ask you questions.
