Multi-session CD works fine for me no problems booting with or saving to CD.
Tried on another computer and not even recognized.
The things they do not tell you, are usually the clue to solving the problem.

Now, the question for the group is, is this what Multisession cd's are supposed to do. That is, is this normal behavior?Well, seems it will only work on the computer it was burned on.

Guys, you really should try Libreoffice 4.3.1. It's simply awesome!
On my poor N450 netbook the startup times of Writer are equal to those of Abiword and it's simply tiny! I got pretty much the whole Libreoffice stuffed in a 90 MB XZ-compressed package.
Now I'm fixing my Libreoffice build script, I want to produce a "lite" SFS with just Writer, Calc and Impress.

mplayer
playdayz: OK... installing gnome-mplayer-1.0.3-lucid525 eliminated the video/audio sync problem! I was wrong thinking it wasn't the mplayer!!! It must have been!
In my research on Linux shutdown... the command:
'# bash -h shutdown now'
shuts down a Linux program properly... our terminal (in help) doesn't have a 'shutdown' command available! Could that be missing from puppy linux itself or the kernel? It seems if that was implemented a no-save-shutdown would be rather easy to include in the menu... yes?... no?
pemasu: That NoBlankScreen-1.0.pet is the one I mentioned about earlier... It 'Doesn't Work in 260/262' It worked in 525 in the final puppy but only for a short while then it turned south and worked no more, no idea why?

Note also using latest Pfbpanel from Stu90, so able to display CPU temp in taskbar. Full transparency of taskbar too.
Overall runs about 5 deg hotter than Spup, but all Lucids do this. Video performance re-sizing windows is very very good.
Opera 11.50, simple download of .deb from Opera site unpacked to mnt/home and symlinked. Performance is excellent. Chromium 14 not so much.
Suspect mplayer will put its cache in /root/ and bork my save file when watching a big video download Will test it next.......

"Unpack script make executable and move to /usr/sbin" after make executable, click on it and dialog box ask if want unpacked....original package will be deleted. I click yes and nothing seems to happen and the original package remains in /usr/sbin
can not get that so useful cpu temp gauge. how did you do that?
Here you go. Just re-name this to pfbpanel without the .zip check it is executable, and move it to /usr/sbin. Allow it to overwrite the existing, then just click on it.jim3630 wrote: can not get that so useful cpu temp gauge. how did you do that?

connection with Frisbee
In order to continue testing Frisbee beta 2 I didn't install 262 yet.Béèm wrote:Over time I tried a frisbee 5.2 beta pet, but I think it was beta 1.playdayz wrote:Béèm, Have you tried Frisbee?disconnects in the lucid series.

But the problem didn't go away.
Will try this beta 2 one.
@Iguleder.
I followed quite a while pemasu's cold puppy's and I didn't have much problems anymore. These puppy's use frisbee.
So frisbee beta 2 could well be a solution
Now some 24 hours later and having worked a lot on internet today, I kept a stable connection.
So Frisbee beta 2 seems to be a solution.
@playdayz, why not include it in further developments?
