Manual frugal install of top 9; booted fine. Solid WPA wireless connection made easily; connection survived reboot. Ixquick is new to me; I like the idea and after light use, seems fine. Watched short flash videos, changed theme, icons, briefly checked out a few apps, no problems found.

Hi Ttuuxxx, haven't really been keeping up on Classic Pup due to wireless compatability issues. But, did do a quick test this afternoon. Using Firefox, went to
http://www.insideline.com and experienced crash of Classic Pup while running in livemode.
Checked out inside.com [edit: insideline.com]; it did crash X; then top 8 did also. Sometimes it crashed to a prompt, sometimes to a black screen. I next copied top 9's Aurora firefox directory to a mounted drive, doing the thing DaveS has recommended to share one copy of a browser among various puppies. Got retro lupu 5.25, because it is browserless, used the Aurora copy. On opening Aurora, the MediaPlayerConnectivity Wizard opened; I cancelled. insideline loaded fine. Back to top 9; insideline okay now???? Is the Media...Wizard a clue to those who know? Back to top 9. pfix=ram, insideline.com crashed to prompt and I saved xerrs.log, attached, as a possible help. Remove the .tar.gz, it's really a text file.

EDIT: Wary 5.1.1 will play this video without error. Classic Pup 2.14X Top8 plays it with extreme stuttering. Can someone please confirm.

Yes, it did stutter, but not if I let it buffer, then play it (nice video). Could it be merely a slow server or net congestion?
A small thing and no different than top 8: on first connection, it takes two clicks of the "scan" button in the internet connection wizard for my network to be discovered (reproducible even with strong signal). Surely even a newcomer wouldn't give up on one click.
Thanks for your efforts, HTH,
Jon
