Sorry, did not get what you said.
Yes when I right-click the title bar and choose maximize, that works.
And for sure next time it's maximized again.
But the issue i raised, because before I didn't have to do that.
So somewhere along the road a parameter has changed in the pristine install.

I believe thats what happens when using latest geany. I believe that some older geany found from forum or barrys repos, might behave differently.
But what I meant...was that you can reshape opened geany by maximizing, dragging from corners etc...and next time it remembers that last geometry.
About how it behaved in earlier versions. I am sorry, that kind things happens. I havent compiled geany. We have competent geany compilers and packagers in forum.

Sure, whatever I do draging resizing etc.. sticks, but why is the initial geometry geometry=0;0;1360;717;0;
Why is the 1360 not 1024. I wouldn't have raised the issue then.
And people with a 800x600 resolution are still in trouble at the first use of geany.

In the meantime I discovered that 5X2 and before didn't have an initial geany.conf in /root/.config. So it worked.
I would say, taking into account the lowest usable resolution 800x600 and to be on the safe side geometry=0;0;768;576;0;

Beem. I found this from Barrys new wary repo from geany-0.19
When I copied that, it opened for me maximized still.
I found also this:http://murga-linux.com/puppy/viewtopic.php?t=64946
Code: Select all
geometry=geometry=314;65;676;463;0;

When I paste the geometry from Barry's Wary, it is a smaller window as it used to be before.
Even the one I give is a reasonable sized window on my 14" screen. And would fit on a 800x600 resolution.
P.S. I edited your post to remove the blank in the URL.

Glad to help.
And everything is clear now.
And I learned there is an initial geany.conf now.

Hi pemasu,
Please consider adding shinobar's PupsaveConfig to your next release. It works well on 5x7 and provides some valuable configuration options for creating a save file. I especially like the ability to create a 4fs save file. TazOC's LHP has 4fs as the default save file and I have found it to be very reliable and it appears to be faster than 2fs and 3fs save files.
Thanks,
Jim

JJim1911. If you extract the pet, you see that it has wmreboot, wmpoweroff and rc.shutdown scripts.
Rc.shutdown might be compatible but starting to use that modified means that I cant use the woof downloadable one. And I am sure Barry makes fixes into it through woof.
Wmreboot and wmpoweroff probably breaks Exprimos modified ones and installing that pet probably causes that you cant use those scripts to shutdown and reboot inside e17.
So....I cant include that pet. You can use it and anyone, who wants ext4 savefile.
Good pick however.
But I am sorry, I dont think so that Pupsaveconfig is compatible with Exprimo due to e17.
For JWM, Icewm, Openbox it is compatible and usable.

I am testing it on Exprimo, above was made using e17, I'll continue testing.pemasu wrote:JJim1911. If you extract the pet, you see that it has wmreboot, wmpoweroff and rc.shutdown scripts.

Jim1911. I noticed you already posted to this Barrys blog thread.
It seems that it is already happening. Pupsaveconfig, at least most of its funtions will be, is going to be in woof modified by Barry.
Anyway, that is one reason, I am reluctant to switch Puppy core files, more than necessary. You drop out of the boat easily.

Further testing confirms that shutdown using the e17 WM is broken. Therefore, if anyone wants to use PupsaveConfig, it must be removed using PPM after creating the desired save file. Then e17 properly shuts down. The 4fs save file created with PupsaveConfig is working fine.pemasu wrote:Wmreboot and wmpoweroff probably breaks Exprimos modified ones and installing that pet probably causes that you cant use those scripts to shutdown and reboot inside e17.

Jim1911. I hacked together woof downloaded and fixed wmreboot and wmpoweroff scripts with PupsaveConfig one and then I repackaged the Shinobars PupsaveConfig.
Could you test it with your 4fs needs and with jwm and e17.
pfix=ram condition is of course needed as with previous version, there is now Barrys new checking for it added. PUPMODE=5, I mean.
