Panasonic laptop won't boot, says Invalid System Disk
My dad removed the floppy drive because he wanted to install Windows 98 by means of a CD. Well that proves it was able to boot at one time to a CD.
From that other website, the laptop apparently has this:
CF-25FVF4DAM | CPU: Pentium 150MHz | Screen: 12.1" (Active Matrix STN) | VRAM: 2MB | RAM: 16MB expandable to 48MB | HDD: 2.1GB | Battery: Li-Ion 10.8V 2300mAh.
So can it run Puppy with those specs?

Proves nothing.Riano wrote:My dad removed the floppy drive because he wanted to install Windows 98 by means of a CD. Well that proves it was able to boot at one time to a CD.
That is a Mk2 version and was not capable of cd booting.
48mb ram isn't much to run anything with; and we don't even
know how much ram that laptop has.
Keep studying those links.
Inspiron 700m, Pent.M 1.6Ghz, 1Gb ram.
Msi Wind U100, N270 1.6>2.0Ghz, 1.5Gb ram.
Eeepc 8g 701, 900Mhz, 1Gb ram.
