Still no go, Mick. Same error message as before. Ahhh! Excellent! Just made my beer taste a little sweeter hearing that news. I know you've been a big fan of compiz since Ripple. As said, Ripple was the idea behind the "dummy" window manager, and I think it fits Puppy perfectly.
