Dpup Exprimo 5.X.15
Yes. The Shinobars today posted petget seems to have still some problem. It stucks in pet database checking stage. Shinobar posted the updated package today to fix something, but it looks like there is still problems. I didnt have much time to test it since I wanted to have it and I had woof building under my fingers. Well...it happens.
I have attached now the original petget stuff from the woof. When you install the pet, it replaces Shinobars edited files. Next pet installation after installing this pet should behave normally...I hope so...lol. Emptying the /tmp helps also...if needed after installation..... since it deletes the petget temporary files which sometimes interferes.
I think I will wait if Shinobar can figure out what might interfere his pet in dpup.

Edoc. I would make backup of your 5.X.9 savefile first. Boot 5.X.10 or whatever but not that 5.X.9 and then copy to the safe place the original savefile. Then try to use it with 5.X.10. I dont ever test upgrades or previous savefiles. I start from the scratch. So...I dont know much of the compatibility. About Seamonkey. Test it...and you see. If there is problem...I would like to fix it. But I dont have time to test many apps how compatible they are. I more likely try to fix errors....which testers find...lol.
It seems...that the Frisbee-manager to disable-enable frisbee has been left out. I dont understand in what stage this has happened. But here it is....for those who cant use Frisbee....I know there are those users....whose wireless does not like Frisbee. I use mostly Frisbee, so I didnt notice that it was missing until I checked the menu entries once again.

petget fix
Sorry for your inconvenience. Prepared a fix package.
http://shino.pos.to/linux/puppy/petget_ ... 120105.pet
Clicking this fix package, shown 'Please wait' message(it doesn't disappear.), then restart X.
The problem was in the last part of /usr/local/petget/i18n_head, the function vercmp.
The fix package above need not and does not affect if you have already installed the petget-barry-kauler.

Just tested the Shinobars petget-fix-package. Now it works. I update here the Shinobars whole petget-package. The main thing with it is...if you have usb installation, Shinobars petget should save pet installations by using Puppy Package Manager (PPM) so that they are found and usable after reboot. Also uninstalling should work correctly. Ppl with hdd installations are not affected, so they can use Barrys or Shinobars....as they wish. The newest Barrys improvements are in both.

When I shut down the dvd tray opened to allow removing the dvd but it
continued to shut down so I ended up with a shut down computer and the
dvd tray wide open.
I suggest a "hit enter to continue" to give the user time to remove
the dvd, then have it shut the tray and poweroff.

Re: Dpup Exprimo 5.X.10
Can't you manually close the tray after the power is off?Billtoo wrote:When I shut down the dvd tray opened to allow removing the dvd but it

Not sure but on some computers that would mechanically break it?shinobar wrote:Can't you manually close the tray after the power is off?Billtoo wrote:When I shut down the dvd tray opened to allow removing the dvd but it

I use Google Search on Puppy Forum
not an ideal solution though

Re: Dpup Exprimo 5.X.10
I don't think it would be a great idea to force it shut.shinobar wrote:Can't you manually close the tray after the power is off?Billtoo wrote:When I shut down the dvd tray opened to allow removing the dvd but it

EDIT:I don't know whether or not this was a great idea either but I
commented this part of the rc.shutdown and it has fixed the problem.

odd error when I installed this one frugally. I had no prior save file.
I wanted to test to play a mp4 but there seems to be not mplayer there at all.
Nothing happens when I click on it it in menu. What could that be about?
I go to bed now so any suggestion what is going on will be dealt with after
a delay of some 10 hours when I have waken up

Peebee. Good pick. Thank you !!!
Woof has picked wrong gnome-mplayer package. The one without that libgmtk.
Here is the right one. It is quite small, so you can install it as it is...or extract it with rox right click and grap just the libgmtk libs to the /usr/lib.
I am atm creating packages to the bug fix release and just in time...I can fix the gnome-mplayer.
