[Resolved]tar error message

#1 Post by okokoook »

i built up a DIY puppy version using Woof. The kernel that i am using is 2.6.39.4, and it is debian-squeeze compatible. currently everything seems fine except one - when i type in command " tgz2pet" in the terminal, even though the pet is created anyway, but along with a error "tar: write error". i think the pet is healthy, but why it comes up with that error message.does anyone know what the problem of it is? is this a bug? thank you in advance

regards

michael

You need to replace /bin/tar binary. Take tar binary from Slacko or Dpup Exprimo build or use tar binary from somewhere which works. It is known bug with debian squeeze build.
