Awesome! Thanks!mimmo wrote:if you "just" want to see the thumbnails ROX-Filer (the file explorer) does this

But, I found something I like even more: xfce window/desktop manager. I like xfce much more than jwm or enlightenment. The thunar folder browser is clean, cute, and has the kind of user-friendly features that make Mac and windows so easy.
For example, thimbnails are automatically enabled on image folders. The right click menu on files is simpler, and only 1 level deep. In jwm when you right click a file, then you have to go into a sub menu for file actions like rename and delete. That's a pain, especially when you're close to the edge of the monitor, cuz then the file menu is not selected.
The toolbar autohide feature on jwm is not usable, because the unhiding hotspot is higher than the menu itself, which does not make sense. Xfce gets it right!
The xfce firefox browser enhancements (at least that what I think they work) are also helpful.
You can right click on an image and pick "use as wallpaper". Very convenient!
The xfce toolbars can be placed anywhere, like enlightenment, but they work. I had such a hard time trying to configure enlightenment, it's so complicated, and doesn't feel stable. Xfce feels really stable.
Connecting the windows keyboard key to the start menu was a cinch. No scripting needed, no config files to deal with. Great window/desktop/folder manager.
Has the features and behaviors that jwm is missing, and that are too complicated in enlightenment.
