How to install First Class Client in 2.01?
Hi!
I'm trying to install a First Class Client on a Puppy Linux 2.0.1 machine.
I don't really know how to do it, I just tried to undeb a .deb package and move all included files to the fitting folders.
Well... I had no success....
Can you tell me how to do it right?
First Class is downloadable at this site. I know it is in German, but I guess everyone will get the nessecary information.
As I'm on holiday for about two weeks, I will not be able to read your replies sooner... Thanks anyway!

You can also try running the windows version using wine.
just grab wine .pup from MU's site
http://appdb.winehq.org/appview.php?iVersionId=2608
good support for a complex app suite

thank you for your suggestions and sorry for my late answer...
hu8, I tried your tip - the problem is, it is not working from the point you suppose.
In other distributions there is no need to install the program. You just have to put all the files in the fitting folders and open the file fcc to run it.
If I do the same in puppy linux nothing happens.
What could be the reason for that?

thank you willhunt!!!
I didn't even use forum-search, as I didn't think anyone else would like to use such a special program.
With the help of this thread I was able to get first class to the login screen.
Now my problem is, that it doesn't get beyond this login screen.
After logging in a new window should open... but it doesnt....
thank you anyway!
If anyone has some more suggestions for me...

If you have a login you are nearly there and it is getting the settings right . . .
What I remember doing is setting this up in Windows and copying the settings from that - which worked (for an OU course), into the Linux version - I do not remember the settings suggested by the FirstClass company (there server) as working
If it is for a OU course you should contact them (they insist you compromise with closed source software but are looking to open source)

Sorry can not be of more help
