lost audio

#1 Post by gaherzog »

sorry for posting this inquiry in the wrong place earlier.

puppy 5.2.8 on a new LT4004u netbook puppy is booting from sdb flash drive windows 7 is on on sda1

no sound on the headphone out jack after upgrading ram to 2GiB. it worked before the ram upgrade, and still works in windows. I've run the alsa wizard and checked all of the alsa settings. The built in speaker works. but nothing from the headphone out jack.

I appreciate any help.

thanks

I don't think it is the Ram upgrade .

Puppy frugal installed tends to leave some so-called white(s)-outs ( wipe-outs ) from the aufs kernel module that manages the layers .

Deleting device nodes likely leave some of these "*.wh.*" files .

Removing them from the lupu-save.3fs file might help .
