gui_src2pkg_conf (preset for pets and puppy)
gui_src2pkg_conf (preset for pets and puppy)
Development package building
*This was a major overhaul from anything I did before with the old gui conf*
Here is a gui written in dialog and Xdialog for easy setup of the config file
so it can be run with or without X
to auto preset for pet packages on puppy
*depends on src2pkg of course*
why?
most people already know I use TXZ or TGZ packages
but let the puppy users have fun building packages too
in an organized way
just run the gui and select ok everything is preset
when you have more practice you can run more options from the GUI
I wrote a html help file with all the info needed to get started
/usr/share/doc/gui_src2pkg_conf/src2pkg.tml.html
there is a menu entry also in setup to make it easy to launch
fixed a typo non bug
http://www.puppy2.org/slaxer/gui_src2pk ... 2_SLXR.tgz
@Hey Gilbert give it a try and let me know what you think

Thanks
looking at the viewer one easy
and one complex
the complex is what is used by src2pkg in $HOME/.src2pkg.conf
*the easy viewer is just that a pre viewer
to see quickly what was selected
this file isnt saved or used by src2pkg its only for the user

The src2pkg author (me) says that it should work the same for 2.7. Joe's tool does not include all the *possible* configuration options for any version of src2pkg. Any new configuration options added to later versions of src2pkg will most likely be geek-level options and it's exactly these which are not included in Joe's tool.
