Hi, it looks like to be very silent here, these days...
Anyway, I try to get picscale working (it doesn't)
The error message:
Code: Select all
# picscale -i au.jpg -o test.jpg 128 128 9
(<unknown>:19664): GdkPixbuf-CRITICAL **: gdk_pixbuf_scale_simple: assertion `dest_width > 0' failed
(<unknown>:19664): GdkPixbuf-CRITICAL **: gdk_pixbuf_get_rowstride: assertion `GDK_IS_PIXBUF (pixbuf)' failed
(<unknown>:19664): GdkPixbuf-CRITICAL **: gdk_pixbuf_get_n_channels: assertion `GDK_IS_PIXBUF (pixbuf)' failed
(<unknown>:19664): GdkPixbuf-CRITICAL **: gdk_pixbuf_get_width: assertion `GDK_IS_PIXBUF (pixbuf)' failed
(<unknown>:19664): GdkPixbuf-CRITICAL **: gdk_pixbuf_get_height: assertion `GDK_IS_PIXBUF (pixbuf)' failed
(<unknown>:19664): GdkPixbuf-CRITICAL **: gdk_pixbuf_get_pixels: assertion `GDK_IS_PIXBUF (pixbuf)' failed
(<unknown>:19664): GLib-GObject-CRITICAL **: g_object_unref: assertion `G_IS_OBJECT (object)' failed
OOPS.. something terrible happened and test.jpg was not created.

I installed gliv_1.9.6-1 form PPM, "image viewer using gdk-pixbuf and OpenGL". This works, so I guess that gdk-pixbuf is OK.
Similar error messages with scale2jpg (picscale is written in bacon, scale2jpg is C). I tried to compile it on the RasPi with
Code: Select all
gcc -Werror -o scale2jpg scale2jpg.c `pkg-config --libs gdk-pixbuf-2.0 gdk-2.0` `pkg-config --cflags gdk-pixbuf-2.0 gdk-2.0` -lm
strip scale2jpg
based on the makefile, but it makes no difference.
Has anybody any idea, what I could try?
btw. I have a folder /usr/lib/gdk-pixbuf-2.0, but it's empty.
I really like to get this working,
Rolf
Edit: Problem solved
. Digging in Barry's blog was helpful
.
Ich verwende "frugal", und das ist gut so.
Raspberry Pi without Puppy? No, thanks.
