Gxine for downloading Youtube

Hello,

How would I download Youtube videos with Gxine?

I don't use to download local videos but I saved a link:

It needs java plugin activated in the browser and does the job. It's not risk free.

Thanks. I read an article that gave a number of those options, but I wanted to do it with as little outside support as possible.

After more research, I've figured it out. Firefox needs an add-on that enables saving. Then, I can open it with my player.

You can download youtube if you manage to hack the code out of the html using curl or wget .
gxine opens radio streams .
Older saemonkey-1.18 and Firefox-3 put the flash into /tmp directory too .
