Y'know, I thought it would create more of a splash when I released that. But basically the only people who said anything were you, RSH, ciento, and some jerk who used it on another forum to say "See! This is why Studio 13.37 sucks!" without ever trying Studio 13.37.
both these distros work great, i was playing guitar on my computer in about 10 minutes. I can't seem to find guitarix, would like to give that a try. Thanks for all your efforts, peace..
Basically, from now on Studio 13.37 will ship with an empty savefile, which gets written to at the end of every session, without user interaction. The whole process of saving changes occurs behind the scenes, and is automatic.
But if, for whatever reason, the user wants to restore his usb stick to factory settings, Factory Reset will wipe it clean and reboot it in "brand new" condition.

Factory Reset - it shouldn't be necessary for a user to touch anything in their system files partition at all, unless he wants to resize the save file when it gets full. (If you use Studio 13.37 enough that your save file is getting full, you might want to consider installing it on your computer. Then you won't have to worry about save files.)

Currently MPD is very outdated as a pup package, so its almost not worth it for a user to try to add the package from the repository.
Aqualung works good for me, as a player app, and it maintains a jackd connection, to allow quick overdubs with a recording app.
I assume you are looking more to the server side?
