Hi.
I'd like to install any version of puppy linux (slacko, lucid, etc) in a HP Mini 110- 3700, but when i tried to boot it from a usb memory, it doesn't boot at all. Can anybody help me? (PD: i've already tried with other linux distros but the result is the same).
How to boot Puppy from USB in HP mini 110 netbook?
Did you set up the BIOS of the computer to boot from usb?
I found in the web http://h30434.www3.hp.com/t5/Notebook-R ... -p/1116621 that:
Upon startup when you see the HP logo splash screen load completely, tap F10 several times. to access the BIOS.
in the BIOS you can set up "boot priority".
put the disk 2nd, and put usb device 1st. save BIOS settings.
In this way it supposed to find the pen drive and boot it.
tips:
In this kind of machines is nice to boot from sd card also. puppy remain inside.
Any puppy should work, but puppies optimized for netbook atom maybe are better performing. puppy saluki was one of them, but is not maintained and update.
maybe carolina puppy ?
Good luck!
