Community Edition anyone interested?
Wanderer what is the md5sum of your local iso that works?
I have created md5sum txt files for the iso and the sfs on the server.
I expect your local md5sum will differ as it failed to boot here too.
All you need to do is type md5sum ce1.iso in a terminal in the directory where your file is to get the md5sum.
What are you using to upload the files with?
You need to make sure the file transfer is totally complete before downloading it.
I prefer FileZilla over gFTP. If you are still having trouble I will make a special application that will make uploading really simple. You place a script on the desktop and simply drop files onto it and they will end up in your space.

thanks smokey01
i'm kind of at a loss
i've tried this a bunch of times
but it fails to fully load the ramdrive
and then hangs
if you could make that script
it would be great
this is not much use if i can't get it out
i burn it to disc and test it
before i upload it
so i know it works
in fact i'm writing you from ce1x.iso now
maybe i'll mail someone a disc

@wanderer and all...
thanks for your efforts on CE... i realize i don't have much influence (and shouldn't) but, as a user, i do like wanderer's version numbering system... ie, 1, 2, 3, 4, etc... Jemimah took this approach and it was very easy for users to keep up with her most recent version... ask any puppylinux user... for example, they immediately understand the numbers 013 and 023... other distros are not that readily identifiable as to which is the current version.
thanks for listening to my opinion...
ps... however, i do understand the rationale presented by amigo and rg66.
