Puppy and ethernet drivers

#1 Post by radio1 »

Hi all.

I just stumbled across PuppyOS 2.11 yesterday. I just installed it to my PNY Attache 512 MB USB Drive. When trying to boot up on my home machine, I can not find an appropriate driver for my ethernet (integrated on mobo). I have a KT800Pro w/Via chipset and Gigabit ethernet.

I know a little bit a Linux, I have played with MythTV Linux boxes and played a lot with ditros like Ubuntu and Fedora Core 4. But I am kinda confused on how to find and integrate new drives on this USB install. Incidentally, I am at work (on my work machine) and Puppy had the correct driver for this computer's ethernet interface.

All in all, I am pretty excited about having ~75MB OS that does most of what I usually do... Awesome! :D
