Hello to all. I've been trying to install a Linux distribution that machine (with Xubuntu and Debian's), but with little success in the installation goes well, but when I reboot, the screen stays black and nothing happens.
Now my question is that whether someone installed Puppy Linux to the machine and got it to work properly?

Did you install a boot loader?but when I reboot, the screen stays black and nothing happens
Finding someone using this exact computer, is probably not going to happen.
There are a lot of versions of Puppy that should work on this computer.
Lucid Puppy 5.2.8.6 would be a good one to try.

The things they do not tell you, are usually the clue to solving the problem.
When I was a kid I wanted to be older.... This is not what I expected
YaPI(any iso installer)

Yes I installed. I was looking on google using the instructions and xubuntu and debian and what I found was always the same problem. I came to the conclusion that the graphics drivers, then they were free or closed, so is not suitable for this machine for some reason? I can be wrong in this case.bigpup wrote:Did you install a boot loader?but when I reboot, the screen stays black and nothing happens
