Hi friends.
My question is that, someone knows about a Puppy BSD based distro?
If not, there are plans to build one??
I'm reading a lot of BSD documentation, and it seems a very good system, mature, with great perfomance, and good compatibility.
The only is missing is that doen't exist pre-builted system with good selection of tools and usable default configuration, to make a usable and functional system after installation. Like PuppyLinux.
A lot of linux distributions have great technology, complex services.. with a lot of features (puppy is not the case). We know that normal/desktop users didn't need things like these.. In my opinion, FreeBSD/NetBSD are great systems, with very simple configuration, KISS philosophy.. and they are very conservative in these aspects. Maybe BSD and Puppy concept works in the same line.. simplicity, lightweigth, and conservative.
What is your oppinion?
Exists a Puppy BSD based distro?

Hello again, matias.
4-5 years ago, there was a very nice OpenBSD derivative called Olive BSD, not too big,
perhaps 450 Mo, if I remember correctly, with OpenOffice included, but I think it has not
been updated.
Have you tried the recent GhostBSD ?
BFN.

GhostBSD no, only NetBSD/FreeBSD.
I'm downloading now, to test it. Looks good
