Usually, putting -playlist in front will work for all those playlist file types if you are using mplayer (or mplayer via PupRadio).
With that Jazz stream I got an announcement saying that it is blocked by the provider due to licensing restrictions unless you listen via the official website or upgrade to their premium service. There may be a work-around for this, but without spending time researching it I'm afraid I don't know what it is.

I'm not sure
Puplayer works but only seems to handle 8 preset channels.
Pmusic works but the stop function does not stop the player. Music even continues after closing Pmusic. Putting the PC to sleep does stop it.
I started to load clementine but it has 35 or more dependencies to load and that seems like a lot.
Gnome mplayer is also in puppy and looks like it could hold many channels while having a stop function but I'm not sure how to load stations. (once again, I feel like I'm missing something very basic in my understanding)
I have to look at Simple GTK Radio.

With PupRadio you can store 8 Presets on the buttons but you can store a lot more as Bookmarks which you access via the drop-down menu.mcman56 wrote:PupRadio works but only seems to handle 8 preset channels.......

If you are using Precise 5.7.1 it does have a rather old version of pMusic but you can stop music streams from the Stop button which drops down if you click on Track from the menu bar.

The most important is that you solve your personal need, but if pMusic fails I want to fix it. As OscarTalks says, Precise Puppy is old, and since Barry didn't want to update to a recent pMusic environment, it is hard to support this platform. It would be VERY interesting to hear if you get this behavior in the latest Slacko.
