It is not the politicians that make the laws, but it's the corrupt monopolies that make them.

But, if they never hear from you, why should they do anything to help.

If you do something to get their ear, they cannot say "Public never spoke up, thus the public doesn't care."

Dont throw in the towel! Tell them that your freedom of movement and freedom of information is being controlled and YOU command them to put an end to it.

This is the democratic way that citizens have at their disposal. ... Make them aware that for almost 2 decades they have NOT done their job on this for the people.

Want to get them to react. Try a petition or even threaten it to expose their lack of duty.

We, technical users, need unfettered access and use of the Information highway.

If the lawmakers cared what the people thought it wouldn't be difficult for them to find out.

no matter how loud we speak, monopolies have the $100Ms that are much louder. And when the money is coming to them in trucks, our voices can't be heard over the **** load of money coming in to their pockets.

lawmakers in the US seem to mostly care about pleasing big companies who donate huge amounts of money to their election campaigns.

Hence they are corrupt.
"On the take".
I'm not an American, and even I know they aught to be acting such "that government of the people, by the people, for the people, shall not perish from the earth".

As it happened 2 decades ago, Congress has done little for the public in this regard.

The FCC is an effort to slow the floodgate opened by the US Courts regarding the legality of FCC when NO Congressional Law is in place, begs that lawmakers (the US Congress) to do their job. Still they stand back with little regard for the public and ignore their responsibility to act by bringing to the floor decades old legislation for Congression approval.

So, they instead have reduce themselves to throw stones at the FCC's meager recommendations versus acting by setting forth legislation to rescue the public's position.

Here's is the media reporting, again, focused on FCC to swing the view away from Congress and aim it at the FCC which the Court has already ruled, has no power to regulate without laws from Congress.

But, there is reaction from the people. I hope many of you in the US are driving the message home to your Congressional leaders that you expect them to NOT pay lip service on the FCC, but to stand up and make legitimate laws so that the FCC can regulate and insure the company's behave fairly with your internet traffic. That is the Congress's job!

Dont be undermined by the corporate media. Take the battle at those responsible...US Congress! If they don't stand up for fair public access, get them out of there.

Here's is the kind of media report which is designed to keep you looking the wrong way.

Ha ha ha.

You may enjoy this too. Telco and cable providers only took this to task to help us consumers. ha ha ha...he he he.

Time to again, write your representative appealing for a law protecting you. Or vote him out. You know the ones who are stopping this from going forward in law.

I've accused US lawmakers of doing nothing for citizen data-internet users in the past. Well they did one thing for public stuff people own, which is used to access the airways. See this thread
