Precise puppy desktop SOLVED

#1 Post by mystmaiden »

I haven't set up puppy in a long time, lots of stuff I don't recall now. Typically I do not use icons on my desktop at all or very few. I removed the icons using 'remove item' then set up my pup save file. They all came back plus another one marked 'save' right in the middle. Where did I go wrong?

thanks,

One modern PUP that may match what you want is MACPUP. Download the ISO, burn and boot to clean desktop. Post results there.

Hope this helps

Thanks for the suggestion. I'll check out macpup, too.I managed a fix for this mostly by trial and error. I rebooted precise, removed the icons I didn't want keeping the trash can and the save button. I hit the save button right after removing the icons and rebooted precise. Worked like a charm that time.
