Error ./configure

I tried to install a file in puppy (tar.xz) and I came this error in ./configure.
Would be a lack of compiler?

Whichever pup you run, be it TahrPup 5.8.3 or Slacko v?, put that info in your signature.

If you got that far and "make" says "no targets specified," consult the "readme" or "install" file of the pkg you wish to install.

If it's this one, there's no need to compile, though you should grab it using Tahr's pkg manager, NOT aptitude or synaptic.

Fact is you don't want Slack-style pkgs like tgz, txz or tar.xz. Tahr natively installs Ubuntu Trusty "deb" files.
