Try this >> Go to "menu" >> "setup" and hit video upgrade wizard.. Does Precise offer an upgrade for your card?

If it does, by all means accept, let Pup dwnld and install the new driver, then reboot.

Retry your chat room. It might be this simple..

So there was no upgrade available? Here, try this..

Go to YouTube and load any video you like.

Rt-clk on the video and un-tick enable hardware acceleration.

Go back and try your site, making sure your browser's running FP v10.

Failing this, I'm afraid you'd wanna try building the ATI driver yourself.

Try just installing an older version of Chrome. Older versions don't require a regular user account and comes with it's own version of Flash.

Semme did try that with both firefox and chromium with FP 10.3

Ok explane how I make a new driver

ardvark I am using Chromium 10.3 is that old enough?

I begin to think that there is something else wrong. I also have an Xubuntu installed with the same problem. On the page they say that it can be port forwarding problems, but I can use my wife's laptop with win7 and no port forwarding.

I doubt that considering your site's coming over on port 80.

I think it's your card that's @ fault.

One more thing you can try..

Open a command shell or terminal, type the following and hit enter:

Code: Select all

seamonkey -safe-mode
.. then continue in safe mode.

Go try your site.

Hi...

Chrome and Chromium are actually two different browsers. Please see here for more details.

Also, can we get the specifics on your graphics chip?

Code: Select all

Hmm, in hindsight, that "port forwarding" comment kinda crept back in. Do you share the same *physical* connection with your wifes laptop, or is there an additional piece of hardware between your box and this connection? Are you able to even reach this page? Is it blank with "http://chat.sr.dk/" in the address bar?
I can use my wife's laptop with win7 and no port forwarding.

The main site sais that some users have to forward port 443 I have don that.

My wife doesn't use this chat I only tested it on her pc, and it works with no port forwarding.

I can reach the page and I can set my username but I can't see anything but a gray page. when I try to use the same username in that chat with an other browser I get a message that the username is taken. then I close the page on the first browser I can use it. nomater wich browser I use I get a gray page when loget in.

My internet Is a modem connected with a rouder, laptop runs wifi and my pc has a cabeled connected through a switch to the rouder.

Hi...

Version 30 worked very well for me using Precise 5.6.1. I imagine it would with 5.7.1 as well. You can download it here. :)

Let us know how it goes...

Sorry for the late responce it works right now. But I'm not sure it stays so.

I got a link from Semme, that worked fine in one week then it was the same.
