No room left on device, using Transmission.

#1 Post by rvqx »

Hello
I have a thin client HP t5720 and i`m using Transmission in puppy 5.6 from a usb-stick and within 3 hours all torrents turn red and each off them has the line added:Error: unable to save resume file: No space left on device. They don`t tell me on what device.
Gparted says:
sdc1 (my external hd, where my torrents will be put) 240GB, 193GB unused.
sdb1 (where puppy 5.6 is) 1.4GB, 1.24GB unused.
sdb2 (swap) 500MB
sdb3 (i think: not used) 1.74GB, 1.73GB unused
sda1 (internal hd) 490MB, 8MB unused
Right below on my desktop a square is blinking `734M personal storage, free space 0M`
What`s wrong and how can i use transmission?

By default, Transmission saves to your Downloads directory which will be on the device you have Puppy installed on.

In Transmission, click on Edit then Preferences, then under that Torrents tab change the directory that it saves to, to /mnt/sdc1/the directory you want to save to.

The square right under is still blinking, maybe i have to repair that first.
Under tab `Torrents` there is only `Adding` and `Seeding`. Under tab `Downloading` there is `Location --save to` there i can choose from
root
desktop
file system
sdc1
sda
but not choose a directory.

Now it works.
First i had to restart by pressing the power button for 10 sec.
Then Transmission - Edit - Preferences - tab:Downloading - Location save to - [now make it: save to sdc1]. Now add the magnet by dragging it to the Transmssion-window.
