Finally have power after 2 days, Africa is a nice place to visit but .........
The closest thing I have to test with is an Asus Eeepc with an Intel Atom N570 and GMA 3150 graphics. 3b7 booted and worked like a charm off of a flash drive (vfat). Don't have an SSD drive to test with and don't want grub4dos on it. It has win7 and the wife and kids use it.
Maybe it is a BIOS or hardware issue, my 10 year old Acer lappy (which finally died last month

If you have a copy of Tahrpup you could try using that zdrive, just rename it zdrv_slacko_5.9.3.sfs, that's most likely the kernel I'm going to use for v3.0. (Although, "Starting with kernel 3.3.4 , the gma500_gfx driver works without adding any boot options." But I see lots of issue with that chipset and linux with a google search.)
