I just use the one that comes with Firefox.

Erm firefox...or seamonkey if using that.

never did understand these download managers..like you get the speed that you get and most sites don't like them.

If there is a benefit then wget uses virtually no cpu but firefox can use quite a chunk doing the same job...but my machines are old , simple and stubborn like their owner :D

Linux: Uget, it's also FOSS

Firefox addon with good Unrar / Unzip support would be nice such as pausing downloads while unpacking or Queuing until all downloads have finished.

I'm guessing the people who say they use firefox, or seamonkey, have very good connection speeds, so they haven't suffered from incomplete or corrupted downloads.

For stuff where I have a real link wget is the bee's knees.

Downthemall is my favourite , just a shame it doesn't auto unzip / rar
