Which Puppy for an old laptop? [SOLVED]

#1 Post by thoase »

I got an old laptop, Fujjitsu Siemns Lifebook, and I think it's about 9-10 years old. Which Puppy Linux should I choose?

Data about the computer:
BIOS Version: 1.05
BIOS Date: 10/24/2005
BIOS Area: E000h - FFFFh

CPU Type: Intel Pentium
CPU Speed: 1.86 GHz
L1 Cache: 64 KB
L2 Cache: 2048 KB

Total memory 512 MB
Memory Slot 1: None
Memory Slot 2: 512 MB DDR2 SDRAM

With 512Mb of RAM I would say Precise Puppy..or the older Wary Puppy...or the even older Puppy 431/412

Better than Precise:
Mature and tested still being kept up to date.
