can only confirm my 5.0 sfs as tested in precise 571/2, but there's never been a compatibilty problem reported before--i've been making them with the same machine for over a year now.

not sure if it's related, but if you're using the built-in or an older get-libre script, give the updated one by rerwin a try:disallowed wrote:LibreOffice-5.0.0_en-US_xz.sfs that was installed automatically from
Menu => Document => Get LibreOffice download and install LibreOffice.
Today LibreOffice runs (open new files), but still my saved files don't open at all.

I have tried and had no issues running in Spanish. Maybe both of you had an old LibreOffice install and some files remained. (EDIT: tried again after a reboot, got the same error.)caiosama wrote:Me too on Pupjibaro (Retro Precise 5.7.1)Rope wrote:I get this error when tr ying to run it

Try the pet attached below. It overwrites the .desktop files at /opt/libreoffice5.0/share/xdg with versions that have the %U removed from the Exec= field. Or, you can edit those .desktop files one by one to remove the %U and then refresh the menu (type fixmenus in a terminal window).
You can also try deleting /root/.config/libreoffice (first make sure LibreOffice is not running) and starting LibreOffice with default settings restored.
*EDIT*
Uploaded again (variable %U was not actually removed in the files, it is now)

All I know is that %U is a variable to open files from user home (?). Anyway, the %U was not actually removed in the pet (I thought I did delete it), that's why it didn't work. I checked it and uploaded again in my post above.Rope wrote:The pet did not work but deleting %U yes. What is %U?
Strange thin is that /opt/libreoffice5.0/ reads 622M size
Yes, LibreOffice is getting bigger and bigger. Last time I made an SFS of 165 MB xz compressed, now it's 170 MB xz compressed. With gz compression the size can be about 240 MB. Also, remember that my SFS includes Spanish langpack and help files in English and Spanish. Maybe I should drop the help files and offer them as a separate pet, that would make it a bit smaller.

Yes the size is bigger and takes space in the savefile, it puts many things in /optvicmz wrote:All I know is that %U is a variable to open files from user home (?). Maybe you can remove the jelp files, but keep en-es lang, thanks.

LibreOffice 5.0.1
LibreOffice 5.0.1 now available in the first post. Or click here:
http://www.mediafire.com/download/029it ... _en_es.sfs
Some users have reported that downloading from Yandex does not work at times, and I am unable to load the Copy site since a few days, so this time I am trying MediaFire. Let me know if the download does not work.
This package was manually built downloading from the official site and using the extraction and compression utilities of Puppy Linux. It includes both English and Spanish language, and the offline help files are now offered as separate pets - find them in the first post. Also, the scalable set of gnome and hicolor icons was removed to make the file size smaller. Along with the xz compression of PakIt 1.9, the size of the sfs is 157 mb.
Other details:
- Content of /usr/local/share moved to /usr/share.
- %U variable removed from the Exec= entry of .desktop files (variable not used by Puppy Linux).
