Gnomad2 is somewhat outdated. For modern MTP devices such as your Nokia 920 I think you should be using go-mtpfs instead -

The reported os is :Semme wrote:Roberto, which OS does your phone run --this one?
window 8.1 upgrade
version 8.10.14234.375
gnomad2-2.9.6-libmtp-1.1.6.pet and nokia 920 : only mp4 file
I've also tested this solution but don't work (don't recognize the device )tempestuous wrote:Gnomad2 is somewhat outdated. For modern MTP devices such as your Nokia 920 I think you should be using go-mtpfs instead -

I Googled "Nokia 920 go-mtpfs" which yielded this -iw2evk wrote:I've also tested this solution but don't work (don't recognize the device )
https://wiki.archlinux.org/index.php/MTP#go-mtpfs
which mentions that device recognition may be solved by updating your udev rules to include the device ID for your phone (0421:0661)
... but then I discovered that 01micko's mtp_detect-0.11-exper-noarch.pet already contains a udev rule with the correct device ID for the Nokia 920.
So I suggest you try go-mtpfs again, but make sure you try the "Semiautomatic" method by 01micko.

Hi,
i've download and installe dthe required new pets.
From filesistem i load mtp mounter, the program ask me to connect the device
.After connection the program recognize my device and ask to mount to browse files.
I amont and i receive an error message.
In /TMP the MTP.log file :
2015/09/06 15:40:09 detect failed: no MTP devices found
(this is false, because the program identify the device after connecting)
I'm stuking with this STUPID MICRO$OFT ISSUE !!

Try a different file manager with both MTP apps, namely Xfe.. Which should be in 528's pkg manager.
Another way to do it may be to upload to cloud storage and then retrieve'm with Pup.

Almost everything that may work is in the go-mtpfs thread.
This first one in particular..

Keep in mind MS could give a rats hoot about Linux compatibility.

Your screenshot's the result of NOT cancelling MTP_Device when your phone triggered the pop-up.
My instructions were for GtKam itself. You wound up confusing the two and yourself in the process.
==
Here, create /mnt/MTPdevice. Now plug your phone and try this manual method.
Don't go there with ROX.. Instead open Xfe and navigate to this mounted folder.
Do your Nokia's files show?

sh-4.1# cd /mnt
sh-4.1# go-mtpfs MTPdevice

Resist the urge to quote.
Turn your phone on, plug it and let's have the output here:

Good. Now retry GtKam, remembering to cancel out any MTP_Device pop-ups along the way.
I've got another suggestion but, one @ a time me thinks is best.
