New version uploaded: pWget-0.9.1.
For downloading please see the
first post.
Changes:
* Overriding the default destination folder from start window works again.
* Tool-tip style added to start window
* Missing .desktop file added
* Better handling of URLs that end with "/download"
* Multi_download improved.
* changed from terminal rxvt to urxvt
Some sites have the -bad- habit of appending "/download" to the URL. An example: "
http://sourceforge.net/projects/sevenzi ... z/download"
This is a nuisance as the downloaded file will be called "download" in stead of the file name "7z938-src.7z"
Using the terminal, pWget has solved this 100%:
Not only is the correct file name displayed in the title bar, the file is also saved with its proper name:
in stead of
In silent mode the file is also downloaded with its correct name showing in the destination folder, but the progress bar looks like this:
That's the best I could get for now
Multi_download will not handle these ugly URLs, all of them will be downloaded with the name "download". Imagine having eight files in your dest folder, all called "download" : a hilarious situation, or a dramatic one, depending on your mood
I hope I will be able to solve this somewhere in the future.
For now, in Multi, just remove the "/download" from the URL(s), before hitting the "Download" (or Enter) button.
Bye-bye,
Bert
(PS. Note for translators: the .pot file hasn't changed going from v.0.9 to v.0.9.1 )
