compiling xskat: missing directory /usr/X11R7/lib/X11/config

#1 Post by vabene06 »

Hallo, i tried zu compile xskat-4.0 with puppy-2.13beta2 and devx_213.sfs (the new one). When i do "./configure" i got the error - Imake.tmpl: no such file or directory. I cannt find the directory /usr/X11R7/lib/X11/config. Is it missing or forgotten?

Not to sure what the problem is? I downloaded the code from this site http://www.xskat.de/xskat-latest.html and also received the same message:

Code: Select all

sh-3.00# ./configure
mv -f Makefile Makefile.bak
imake -DUseInstalled -I/usr/X11R7/lib/X11/config
Imakefile.c:34: Imake.tmpl: No such file or directory
imake: Exit code 1.
  Stop.
sh-3.00#
however on the website there is a rpm binary

http://www.xskat.de/xskat-4.0-1.i386.rpm

I used Xarchiver which was a dot-pup I found on the forum, I just extracted the rpm of xskat to a dir and ran it right from the directory, I dragged it to the desktop and it works just fine. I don't know anything about the game or how to play it but if you want it and want to play it you can just get the rpm and not worry about building it.

Hallo
i know, i took the rpm.file.
But i want to compile xskat and other programs myself. So i want to know, what is missing (Xutils-dev?) to get no errors. vabene
