Undertale game on Wine is like, really dark after reinstall.

I'm honestly posting this I can everywhere in hopes of fixing it because it's honestly bugging me.

This is Undertale. It's rated gold on WineHQ. I've played through it twice with no issue, yet I had to reinstall my Linux recently because I messed up my sound drivers and now it's really dark.

Here is how it should look, and here's how it actually looks.
It's a Linux issue, because it looks fine on my Windows drive, but I'd prefer to play on Linux. I assume it's a video card issue, but everything else displays fine for me so I honestly don't know. I don't expect anyone here to know the game given it's a bit obscure, but maybe if someone's had similar issues with other games they could help.

Oh, I'm running Precise and the latest build of Wine by version2013.

So the issue lies in the Wine versions by version2013 (even though I s2g I was using that before?), it seems that there's something missing from it I need, but don't know what. Currently using shinobar's portable version and it works just fine. A bit cumbersome to open files but it works for now. I'd rather inconvenience than unplayability.
In the meantime, bonus points if someone can figure out what is missing.

Thanks for the title edit.

I finally found the lucky package by version2013 because shinobar's kept breaking, 1.6 stable. I don't mind particularly but I mean... I wonder what causes it.

You're welcome. Is your problem solved or what?

It is likely down to different video drivers.
Have you got the correct Linux drivers installed?
I presume you have the correct Windows drivers when using Windows

The question then arises as to what Video drivers are needed under Wine?
The obvious bit is that it needs the host's drivers installed to cater for the PHYSICAL connection for the host.
The thing you need to find out is what drivers are needed by the GUEST OS.
I suspect that they will be provided by the Wine organisation for the interface between the guest OS and the Wine virtual screen.

So you will need two separate sets of drivers: one for Wine and one for Puppy.

Game starts on my system and does not look dark like your screenshot "http://i.imgur.com/StsezCT.png"

My system:

Puppy: lupuplus-528.005-1
Nvidia driver: nvidia-glx-331.20-k2.6.33.2
Wine 1.9.2
