So... I'm confused.
Is this a Puppy or not...?
If it's a Puppy, it should have WoofCE in its ancestry somewhere, possibly with remastering or SFS editing in between, and it should be compatible with PETs and SFSs for Puppy.
If it's NOT a Puppy -- which is the case that sounds most likely to me -- it is a Puppy-like distro in the same vein as DebianDog -- a minimalized version of another distro (Slackware in this case) that runs and acts a lot like Puppy without actually being Puppy.
The terminology you're using for it, makes the case for the first option, but the use of something other than PPM makes me think maybe it's the second option that's true.

Shina Inu is a slackware-based puppy made with Woof-CE. It is a puppy but has gslapt and slapt-get, because I like to use them.starhawk wrote:So... I'm confused.

Thank you for this nice pupplet.
Running on Acer Aspire One AAO netbook, I like it very much.
I cannot set up date and time and it is a major drag for HTPPS certificates.
I downloaded JWM to try to work around this problem, but how can I switch WM ?
Also how do I configure it to set date and time via web ? (internal clock battery dead).
Cheers ! E Z Tuxer

Don't poop it down... Pup it Up !
I'm giving this pup a run. The first thing I do after booting is open FireFox (that I've saved from another pup) and it fills the whole screen. I can't figure out how to reduce its size so there is some blank space on the screen for another window. With this windowing system I can't seem to "pick up" a corner of the Firefox window and slide it inwards to reduce its size. How to achieve this
Thanks.
Thanks.
I'd do this by moving the window after pressing ALT + F7 your mouse pointer changes into what I call a wind rose -- you can move that window by mouse/touchpad or cursor keys then, so you can reach the outer bordersShep wrote:I'm giving this pup a run. ALT + F7 again to switch back to mouse pointer

Shep, right-click the Firefox icon in Lxpanel and select Maximize, this should make the window fit the screen
