How to install the Brave browser?
Has anyone installed the new Brave Browser on their system? I tried unpacking their tarball but there's no readme on it. It works interesting on my tablet so I was wondering about it.

Apologies. I'm now reading it requires node.js to do a "npm install"... so I am at a loss.Semme wrote:Not even a link.. Really? >> https://github.com/brave/browser-laptop
I *think* I managed this. EDIT: no, I didn't, as npm doesn't seem to operate outside the npm folder, I know nothing about git, and this is really too much as I'm just trying to try out a browserSemme wrote:As 14.1 doesn't have a 5.x copy, you'd have to build it.
EDIT #2: I can feel myself re-installing my system already
EDIT #3: The system survives. The browser install does not. I guess I'll just wait till this becomes a .deb or something
EDIT #4: Hopefully someone builds an SFS based on Tahr? I think I've had enough of weird installation processes for today.

If you're going to sample anything, do so in /tmp. Just note my last screenshot.
Well I got further with it in /tmp/ and ended here, so I think my adventure has ended.
