Lobo: Java Web Browser - NEVERMIND, figured it out

I am interested in trying this browser just for fun and I can't seem to get it to work. I have Java installed in /usr/java and I was able to run the installer but when I try to run the browser I only get a security error message and can't get the actual browser to run.

I was wondering if anyone had any suggestions about steps I could take to just try this out.

Sounds interesting. I going to put this on my list of things to try.

I always thought it would be nice if you could easily add web like functionality to java GUIs. Perhaps this software would make this much easier to do.

Cool experiment! I'm posting from emulated Opera Mini.
There are issues. Pictures dont show up. Intro key has to be entered with the virtual keyboard. Mouse scroll does not respond readily. Javascript seems partially supported..
BTW this emulator can be very useful as there are tons of midlets out there...

Hi, pictures shouldn't be a problem unless the visiting website is very big in which case you may find that some pictures lower down the page are not displayed. Make sure your settings are correct. This could also be a screen size issue - right-click on application in taskbar, choose maximize and restart microemulator. Keyboard can be used for normal letter typing but you need the virtual keyboard to enter numbers. Mouse-scrolling does not seem to have the smooth feature but using the up and down keyboard keys should make smooth scrolling. For quick scrolling you can press 2 (up) and 8 (down) on your keyboard. Yes, javascript is not fully supported. You can also not do media streaming. This browser is excellent for general browsing. I've been using it for years (especially useful with dial-up and if you are data restricted).

I'll try your advice on checking if images are disabled on settings and also mouse-scrolling with cursors.
Could you suggest other midlets to use from within this micro emulator?

BTW I have problems with Google Sheets on browsers. Do you know some Android emulator to run Google's apps from Puppy much in the same as you emulate Opera?
Tablet apps are more reliable and consume fewer resources than their web-browser versions.
Tablet apps emulation may be interesting for Puppy philosophy as current tablets are low resource devices the same as old pcs

It's cool but it is not useful for me because images are not displayed (I checked images option is enabled) and font size is super tiny despite I have set the largest size.

This has given me an idea. Is there some way to force a web browser like qtweb or seamonkey to display mobile versions of visited sites? such versions load faster and would increase readibility on small screens like my notebook̈́'s

Yes, change the browser agent string to something common in the mobile world Like Chrome on fake chrome OS, Android etc.
There is a thread about 3 weeks age where I an others faked out the Internet to play our Netflix in our Linux. Using the idea.

I'll read this link ans show what works to me.
I had a list to addons forr Seamonkey that I wanted to try too.
FYI QtWeb has a built-in user agent. I've tried it with the string for iphone7 and seems to do well

In many main browsers, the mobile version of pages will be displayed if you simply enter the correct mobile site url, I've done this many times before but not all sites will work like this. Dillo is an html only browser which is okay for quick browsing. BTW - Your settings are not correct if you can't get images to display in Opera Mini. I use Opera Mini everyday and posting from it now. I actually provided a download of my settings if you care to read through the thread I provided before.

Hmm i didnt see the download of your settings. I'll try that for sure because I plan to use this emulator for for j2me apps.
Have you tried ucbrowser?
