Hi! I have a usb modem but lucid doesn't work with the mobile partner app for linux. How can I get ussd functionality? I have tried mobile partner 21 which worked in tahrpup but it doesn't here since GUI disappears after few seconds of loading. Also tried Mobile Partner 16.001.05.00.45 but it's buggy won't cease the possibly 'registering network' dialog. Anyways all I need is ussd so anyone with clues thanks in advance for your help.

I need USSD functonality for usb modem in lucid
Hey wert, I do remember playing with mobile partner with Huawei E1550 (I don't remember exactly, it was loaned to me by a friend)
Anyway I distinctly remember getting it to send sms using Fatdog with version 15.
No luck with ussd or calling.
Version 21 or 16 didn't work at all.
It was 2 years ago and I don't remember exactly what I did.
But I did read someone's experience with it on Fatdog 631 thread.
I will have to hunt it down.
Now it's too late here. I am going to sleep now. Do search around.

I use mobile partner 21 with tahrpup62 but it doesn't work in lucid. The problem is it doesn't give any clues e.g. missing deps in the terminal window.drunkjedi wrote:Hey wert, I do remember playing with mobile partner with Huawei E1550 (I don't remember exactly, it was loaned to me by a friend)

Beware: Mobile partner's ram intensive
Mobile partner 21 works well for ussd functionality but be sure to run top in terminal when your pc becomes unresponsive as this application will likely be the culprit when you hit m.
