TAS is perfect as it is.

Question: - when you have highlighted the desired region in mtpaint are you able to use the shift+ctrl+X shortcut to crop? (Not sure if that is a global mtpaint shortcut or if it is just the way my clipboard is modified)
I don't understand your question. TAS already offers the choice to take a shot of the whole screen, a single window or a region. No need for mtpaint.greengeek wrote:The question is could TAS be expanded with a button that bypasses the mtpaint programme and lets the user select a rectangle (or circle) straight off the desktop (like "clipping tool" in Windows)?
What for? It is already saved to the directory and filename you specified in the main dialog. You don't have to select Edit, you can simply exitgreengeek wrote:Once you have used TAS to capture a region of the screen - would it be possible to add a "save as" button instead of having to select "Edit" and go via mtpaint?

Click it says, not drag (which is what you would do in other applications). The "release mouse button" might be confusing. Don't know how to click without releasing the mouse button. Probably SFR's desperate attempt to keep users from dragging.
Code: Select all
xwininfo >/dev/null && getcurpos
I do not know about "any" but in slacko and xenial 32 and 64 bit versions works just fine.SFR wrote:If anyone would like to try it, the attached is statically linked, 32bit binary, which (theoretically) should work in any x86 and x64 Puppy.
Just unpack make it executable and copySFR wrote:Just unpack and copy it to /usr/local/bin or similar location.
