Hello,
I'm looking forward to use a VPN-Client in PuppyLinux to surf at my university. But i cant find a pup Can anyone help me?
Thanks!
VPN Client ?
I prepared a dotpup for IPSec VPN but I read the license.
But not all is lost. Your universtity can provide you with the linux IPSec VPN and instructions to compile it. Or you can Google for it, many universities provide it in their web sites.
Just make sure that you get a version patched for recent kernels.
The installation could't be easier:
1. Download the corresponding tar.gz
2. Untar the file
3. run ./vpn_install
Puppy will not start the daemon automatically so you will need to start it as per the instructions that show after you install.
You will also need the .pcf file with the conneciton parameters, It can be the same file used for windows.
Older versions need a couple of patches. If when running ./vpn_install, it complains, let me know and I can tell you how to patch it.
I didn't feel like breaking a license.4. You may not transfer the Software to any third party without the express written permission of Cisco Systems. For permitted transfers, you may not export the Software to any country for which the United States requires any export license or other governmental approval at the time of export without first obtaining the requisite license and/or approval. Furthermore, you may not export the Software in violation of any export control laws of the United States or any other country.

First, make sure you download the devx file corresponding to your version of puppy. It has the kernel headers required by the installationBassking wrote:hmm... i found a version from my university. So I started the installatiton, but when it comes to the "kernel source"-directory, i don't know the path to it
sorry my skills are low
Once you have the devx file, the default location shown in the installer should be correct.

If you're just looking for an openvpn connection, you should be able to use this pupget:
