Jemimah, just if you feel for it.

Geeqie is a cool image viewer with features that I like.
It works for Lucid Puppy and for Dpup but in Saluki it
says that it miss this lib libexiv2.so.6 or this one libexiv2.so.9
depending on what pet one test for it.

They have same problem in Slacko.
I use Google Search on Puppy Forum
not an ideal solution though

I just finished a masterpiece of ingenuity that I call "sit"
It is a _simple _icon _tray applet that allows unlimited icons each with it s own refresh interval and left and right mouse click actions
changing the icon is as simple as changing a symlink
left and right mouse clicks simply emit the string to stdout so that it can be used to open a gtkdialog app (or whatever you define)

the source, binary and build script are here:
http://www.murga-linux.com/puppy/viewtopic.php?t=76431

What applets do people want to see?
Check out my github repositories. I may eventually get around to updating my blogspot.

I'm uploading a hopefully fixed version now. Give it another 10 minutes.

It's in the wary repo, but I think that one is broken.

It works, but needs to be setup to function correctly, it asks for the dependency "Pyrex" but can't find it in the repo and has a conflict with media key, I'm still having trouble setting it up but when you don't have the foggiest that happens

Edit: compiz config menu missing one icon.

It finds Pyrex when I try it.

If you tried the other compiz you need to uninstall all compiz pets, delete, /root/.config/compiz and then install the compiz pet again.

No I didn't install any other compiz, but I removed it anyway and tried again but still the same result, can't find Pyrex.

Edit: I'm a idiot   I neglected to update the ppm, it now works....

shelezyaka image shows xfce and jwm as shutdown / soft reboot options.
Seems a good idea, relatively easy to implement?

Teamviewer and sfs finder

#1394 Post by Pete22 »

Wow Jemimiah,

You made my day with a working teamviewer! Many Thanks. I hope to "grow up" to be like you some day"

I happened to notice that "Find sfs" listing in puppy package manager does not open the full list with the rightside slide scrolldown bar thinky. [Sorry, not geeky enough to know what its called.] The bar only slides down to the T's. However, I got curious when I noticed that it looked like there was something written below Transmission. I pulled the window down at the lower right corner and saw two more sfs were hidden down there.

Thanks for your hard work!

Pete

Switching between Xfce and JWM is by restarting X.
When to start the computer, then he starts WM, on which the work ended.

It is actually simple enough. You just need to add them in the dialog of /usr/bin/shutdown-gui, with the commands "restartwm jwm &" and "restartwm startxfce4 &".
For the JWM to work properly you need more work though. Look at the following patches (for the XO builds) for an idea of what may need to be changed: 1, 2, 3, 4

I would suggest though that since JWM is not a supported WM in Saluki, to open another thread for that.

Jemimah you are right about Geeqie. I am testing it now in
wary/Racy 5228 and it shut down each time I try to read on NTFS
But it says it is missing no dependencies.

So I only get Geeqie to work on Lucid I have not tested that one
on Saluki or Salcko this morning.

What does the Slackware crowd do to get Geeqie to work for them?
I use Google Search on Puppy Forum

Yes jwm will be removed in the next release.
