It doesn't work like that. Racy packages are completely different, more close to 5.3.3 than 5.4 or 5.5. If you look through this thread most of the work is done on the k3.4.17 kernel in the 5.5PAE iso. Only the first paragraph should apply to you if you use slacko-5.4-4g. Try the mentioned "modesetting" driver from the xorgwizard.
Is it so hard to borrow this from Racy?
