The problem for me is not that it works, but I can not get it to close when I am done using it. Nothing I click on will close it. Shut it off. Kill it.

Sorry, was missing.
Open the file /usr/local/jwmconfig2/virtualDesk by text editor.
At line 14-15: EDIT: 73-74

jwm -p 2>&1 > $TMP
Correct:

jwm -p 2>&1 | grep -v 'warning' > $TMP
Or, the attached including the fixed.

Just did a full install to a Ext3 partition on my main Linux box. First,no missing dependency message appeared.
Actually, no problems at all. :)
Running the live cd sound was muted, didn't touch the sound but when I booted into the new full install I had sound.Cool.

Lets see, so far 3 frugal and 1 full install.........no real problems.

Did you fixed only the file 'virtualDesk'?
The jwmconfig2-20101227-1.tar.gz contains all the fix.

Yes only the 'virtual desktop'

Now replaced jwmconfig2 with wmconfig2-20101227-1.tar.gz
all items FIXED
Thanks a lot shinobar !

Tools / Appearance / Personal Bar / Toolsbars /
Although the 'Personal Bar' is not ticked, it does appear by default in the main window under the Adress Bar
If 'Personal Bar' is ticked, a second one appears above the 'Tab Bar'

Psync 1.6

Told you I had a cold

Psync 1.6 posted. Fixes what appears to be a long standing bug whereby if you ran the GUI it appended the time server country to the save file, not replacing it.
In my case as I test the files I had over 150 country entries in the file. It didn't affect the running of software as it always ran the last line of the file which was current, but it was sloppy of me.

I also took the opportunity to streamline the code slightly, not much but tidier.

using 517
lovely 75k lucid wallpaper :)
bit of fun
Fun is good. I prefer the gray backgrounds with the tic-tok icons
It is minimal. 8)

Configured and saved and loaded Googlearth etc
Secondlife told me hardware was not good enough
with just the high org driver
but it seemed smooth and efficient to me . . .
Maybe they thought I was running Uberbuntu

Trying the 4 Firefox beta again
- importing bookmarks is weird
Use show all bookmarks from the bookmarks pull down
and you will see an option to import bookmarks . . .
Could not find that import facility before . . .

Next did some serious usage of gparted
shrinking and moving and deleting partitions
All worked

Next USB boot on an Asus eeepc netbook
All good - however needed to stick with Openbox
With JWM, when you open a 3rd level menu
it is not accessible on smaller screens - it goes to the left
You can not see the text
The only way around this for me was to right click on the desktop far right.
Resolution of the Asus is low 640 x 400 I think it is . . .

I am glad that works. Possibly they are looking for the proprietary driver and not recognizing the open source Xorg_High driver.

Yea! Thanks. Good testing. It is good to know that.

Yes Gyle, I got a bit frustrated trying to make that personal bar go away. I even deleted all the bookmarks and just had a gray bar--that still would not go away!

There is nothing I know to fix it--except wait for 11.01. Thanks.

Suspicious me thought they might have a financial arrangement with those bookmarks, ebay, etc.

So theoretically you can run Windows XP (a well known and much hyped operating system for sheep) in Puppy.

Well not just theoretically because I have just done it.

In fact you could run any 32 bit OS in a virtual box
so Puppy Lucid could run Ubuntu 10:10 . . .

Anyone up to documenting the process?
- learn to use the ctrl key to swap between Puppy and the virtual OS

Puppy Linux

shinobar, We took that out (01micko) because ti did not work. I just tried yours and it still did not work.

But you have fixed the corrupt config file message, right? Simplest thing is to take out the GTK to JWM option.

Yes. Exactly. I have fond feelings for Virtualbox because I started out by running Linux in Virtualbox. This is a great asset to Quickpet and PPM. And as always, thanks for testing.
