I thought it would be "one day I rescued the crashed pc of a girl in my neighborhood" kind of story. I did not imagine that much. What a story...

Just to let you know the update to the legal case, my wife Stacey is currently in mediation with Jessica's father, to discuss Jessica and Stacey full time stay in Britain. The other side have decided to give up on using this outdated piece of legislation it would seem because of all of the publicity that was created around the case and the mounting costs (those who live in glass houses shouldnt throw stones as we say!!!!). It is a shame there was no protection afforded under British or international law against this, but the result (in our case) has been the same

Puppy Linux and the internet has enabled us to fight this through from start to finish, we have use the computers daily for just about everything from phone calls, posters with openoffice, updating our (linux/drupal based) website etc etc. Although it would perhaps have been possible to do this with ...other... operating systems, it would have been prohibitively slow, expensive and unreliable for us to use.

Many many thanks from me, Stacey and Jessica to everyone that has helped with the puppy/linux/open source projects!!!

Congratulations!

8) Good news :)
