see subject line
I can install it and testing the sound works (but I have to rename
Windows XP Shutdown.wav to Windows_XP_Shutdown.wav or it can not recognize the file name)
but... it does not work when I actually perform a shutdown.
All in puppy 421... I will testit on 431 when I am back home
thanks for your effords so far

Dromeno,
I can't duplicate your problem, I'm on 431 and all work fine. As for file names with spaces between words, yes, it can't be recognized, unless some modifications are made when sorting files in the /usr/share/audio directory. Linux file names don't use spaces.
Can you upload your sound file? and I will also test in 4.2.1 later

Dromeno,
I tried your XP sound, it works for shutdown in 431, but it doesn't work in 4.2.1 and I know why. Shutdown and reboot in 4.3 calls the scripts by the name of /usr/bin/wmreboot and /usr/bin/wmpoweroff, and 4.2.1 calls something else (I haven't got the time to check yet)..when I have it, I will post or PM you on how to modify it.
That's all for now
Edit:
1. Use the latest vrsion 1.4-1
2. In 4.2.1 they are /usr/X11R7/bin/wmpoweroff & /usr/X11R7/bin/wmreboot
You can modify these two files by putting this line
just in the 4th (empty) line, before any other commands

I have a issue with the restart and shutdown in 4.31NOP, if I use a short sound such as 2barks it works fine,
but if the sound file is longer such as windows shutdown wav, it gos to the console and if I log back in using xwin and restart or shutdown again it works.
So I'm wondering if there is a limitation to the length of the sound that can be used, the sound I used runs for 2.5 seconds
other than this small problem I like this app very much

Do not install it! It will/might(?) muck up your system. Use the new PET I attached to this post which should work on any version of Puppy Linux. The only thing I changed is the install script which before was only for 4.3.1/4.3.2 v3 by ttuuxxx.
